Description

Die Deutsche Vier was commissioned by Documenta 4 and presented as a gift by Indiana to help defray the expenses invovled in mounting the exhibition. The exhibition, which took place in Kassel, Germany from June 27 to October 6, 1968, included numerous works by the artist. The work was translated into serigraphy from the original papier collé, and incorporates the colors of the German flag.
