The Robert Indiana Catalogue Raisonné is an ongoing project committed to documenting the artistic practice of Robert Indiana (1928–2018). At the request of the artist during a conversation at his home in 1998, author Simon Salama-Caro agreed that he would prepare a Catalogue Raisonné of Indiana's work. Research began in the early 2000s and the Catalogue Raisonné archive was established in 2010.
The Robert Indiana Catalogue Raisonné, currently being prepared by Simon Salama-Caro is gathering information on all known paintings and sculptures in public and private collections for inclusion in the forthcoming catalogue raisonné of paintings and sculpture. Published by RI Catalogue Raisonné LLC in collaboration with the Star of Hope, a foundation created by the artist to preserve his legacy and promote visual arts education, this scholarly publication will include comprehensive documentation on each known work along with full-color reproductions.
