Jan Garden Castro: What does sculpture as a medium do for you?
Robert Indiana: When I was in high school and at the Art Institute of Chicago, sculpture in terms of pushing clay around was not one of my favorite things. The present polychrome sculpture best translates my work from two to three dimensions. There is something much more exciting about three dimensions than two dimensions.
