I’m fascinated with royalty because I came into contact with it briefly while I was in the country [Scotland]. At the university the very first week a little Scottish girl came up to me and said “You’re English aren’t you?” I was so pleased that I had not been taken for an American and we struck up a friendship and after that I spent weekends at her estate outside Edinburgh. She happened to be the great-niece of Lord Balfour.
