Crossroads of American Sculpture, curated by Holliday Day, explored the work of six major twentieth-century sculptors whose roots lie in the state: John Chamberlain, Bruce Nauman, George Rickey, David Smith, William T. Wiley, and Indiana himself. Indiana was represented in the exhibition by twenty works, including a large group of herms and constructions from the early 1960s to the present, as well as the fabricated sculptures The Electric EAT (1964), ART (1972–2001), AHAVA (1977–1998), and 2000 (2000). The exhibition traveled to the New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, June 30–September 2, 2001.
