Definitive Statements: American Art, 1964–66 traced the development of three seminal art styles from the 1960s, Color Field, Pop art, and Minimalism. Indiana's paintings The Red Yield Brother IV (1964) and LOVE (1965) appeared alongside works by artists including Tom Wesselman, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Sol Lewitt, and Ellsworth Kelly. 

The exhibition traveled to the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, New York, May 3–June 21, 1986.
