Dorothy C. Miller: With an Eye to American Art, which included two paintings by Indiana, The Black Diamond American Dream #2 (1962) and LOVE (1965), honored the important contributions to museum connoisseurship of the Museum of Modern Art, New York curator Dorothy C. Miller. Miller included Indiana in the influential Americans 1963 show, which featured an entire gallery devoted to his work.
