Indiana’s Indianas was a twenty-year survey of works from the artist's personal collection. In conjunction with the exhibition Indiana produced a new serigraph to benefit the Farnsworth Art Museum: Decade: Autoportrait 1969, V/H, based on the 72-inch Decade: Autoportrait 1969 (1977) that commemorates his first visit to Vinalhaven. The exhibition traveled to the Colby College Museum of Art, Waterville, Maine, October 17–December 12, 1982; the Reading Public Museum, Reading, Pennsylvania, January 16–March 20, 1983; the Danforth Museum, Framingham, Massachusetts, May 15–July 3, 1983; the Currier Gallery of Art, Manchester, New Hampshire, October 25–November 27, 1983; the Berkshire Museum, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, December 12, 1983–January 29, 1984; and the Flint Institute of Arts, Flint, Michigan, February–March 25, 1984.
