Pop Art: U.S.A.-U.K., which included The Calumet (1961) and The Metamorphosis of Norma Jean Mortenson (1967), was the first exhibition in Japan to show paintings by Indiana.
The show traveled to the Daimaru Museum, Osaka, Japan, September 9–28, 1987; the Funabashi Seibu Museum of Art, Funabashi, Japan, October 30–November 17, 1987; and the Sogo Museum of Art, Yokohama, Japan, November 26–December 13, 1987.
