Robert Indiana: Paintings from the Sixties was the first exhibition at the Virginia Lust Gallery, opened by the wife of the collector Herbert Lust. The artist’s first New York solo exhibition in thirteen years, it was drawn largely from the Lusts’ personal collection, augmented with loans from several friends of the artist.
