Column Eat/Hug/Die

Column with its title "My Mother" painted in five rows around the column in red stenciled letters. The top of the column is painted gold, and thin gold strips around the column separate each row of text. At the bottom of the column, on both sides, is a wheel.

Bob's Column is a 63 by 13 1/2 by 13 inch column with a two iron wheels, one on the bottom right side and one on the bottom left side, on a wooden base. The top of the column has been painted gold, and below eight rows separated by a thing gold strip wrap around the column, each containing the name, in red or black letters, of a place Indiana has lived. They are, from the most recent at top, to his place of birth at the bottom: Vinalhaven, The Bowery, Coenties Slip, Edinburgh, Skowhegan, Chicago, Indianapolis, and New Castle.

A 62 3/4 by 17 by 14 inch column with an iron wheel affixed on the bottom right and left sides, and standing on a wooden base. The top of the column is painted gold. Below, wrapping around the column, is the work's title, "Call Me Ishmael," painted in red letters. Below the text a thin gold stripe wraps around the column.

Call Me Ishmael

A 63 5/8 by 17 by 14 inch column with an iron wheel on the bottom left and right of the sculpture, and standing on a wooden base. The top of the column is gold, below, in black letters wrapping around the column, is its title, "Call Me Indiana." Below the title, wrapping around the column, is a gold stripe.

Call Me Indiana

A column with an iron wheel affixed to the right and left lower sides, and standing on a wooden base. An iron axe is attached to the column. The top of the column is painted gold, and below is the work's title, "Dillinger," in red letters. Below the title a gold strip wraps around the column.

A column with its title, "Hub" painted in red stenciled letters towards the bottom of the work, with an iron and wooden wheel affixed to the right and left sides. The work is topped by an iron cap, below are three rows of text separated by a gold band. The top row reads "City of the" in black letters, below it is "Manhattoes" in red, and below that "Coenties Slip" in white letters.
