Premiums: Steven Durkee, Robert Indiana, and Richard Smith was presented at Paul Sanasardo’s Studio for Dance. Durkee and Smith were Indiana’s neighbors on Coenties Slip. All three exhibited assemblages; Indiana is known to have shown a series of constructions including M (1960), and the painting Fun (1960–61), which was acquired by the art critic Gene Swenson.
