Robert Indiana: Recent Paintings, at the Paul Kasmin Gallery, was an exhibition of thirteen canvases from the past five years, including The X-7 (1998), The Eighth American Dream (2000), The Ninth American Dream (2001), and The Ninth LOVE Cross (2001). The show was the first major presentation of new works by Indiana in New York since 1976.
