Indiana's The American Gas Works (1961–62) and Zig (1960–62) were included in The Pop Art Show at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. The show traveled to the Museum Ludwig, Cologne, January 23–April 19, 1992, as Die Pop Art Show; to the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, June 23–September 14, 1992, as Arte Pop; and to the Museum of Fine Arts, Montreal, October 23, 1992–January 24, 1993, as Pop Art. The works exhibited varied in the different venues.
